Foursquare Disaster Relief (FDR), in partnership with the Foursquare districts and local Foursquare churches, is offering a 16 hour Disaster Relief Training, which will help to qualify Foursquare pastors, ministers, and church members to become first responders in disaster or crisis situations (local, regional, national). FDR is pleased to be able to make this training available for a discounted rate of $50. Registration for this training ends at 9:00am the first day of training. Attendees will walk away from the two day training with: the ability to know their role in crisis response how to minister and stay out of the incident how to help in organizing in the midst of chaos who the other agencies are and how to operate within them how to build a local team of responders in your church and throughout your community how to be certified to be that first responder. Additionally, they would become a part of a more mature, better trained, fruitful, involved and relevant group of leaders. To qualify to be let through the “gate” by FEMA, this Disaster Relief Training is required. There is an additional free online course that must be completed after the training to become a certified responder. This will be discussed more in the class.   Those in attendance will also receive occasional email updates about Foursquare Disaster Relief work and opportunities to serve, give, and/or get involved on the field. You will need to attend both days to begin to qualify as one of our responders. In keeping with Foursquare's interdenominational roots, this class is open to all regardless of denominational affiliation! After completion and Foursquare pastoral endorsement, students will be qualified to register as an official Disaster Relief Responder through FDR. This will enable you to be on the front lines of a disaster response through FDR and be a catalyst for future ministry within the affected community (local, regional, national).  This Disaster Relief Training will be offered locally at Chestnut Street Community Church in Roselle, NJ on July 17-18, 2020. Both days of class will start at 8:00am and conclude at 5:00pm. After you register, you will receive an email with links to the training materials.   We hope that you will be able to attend this important training.
